Everybody knows who Mike Holmes is, right? He is probably one of the most famous contractors on TV today. I think he is more popular than Bob Vila! I started watching Mike when he was starring in a show called Holmes on Homes, in which he followed behind contractors that did poor quality work and repaired the mess they left behind.
Mike now stars in a show called Holmes Inspection. In this show he follows up with home owners after they had a bad Home Inspection. I watch as many episodes as I can of this show for more than one reason. In this weeks entry I would like to talk about what I like about the show.
The show gives a lot of helpful information in regard to home improvement, home construction and home maintenance. Mike Holmes motto is Make It Right and the crew does’nt leave the house until that is accomplished.
One of the best things about this show is the variety of subjects they touch on. There is always some kind of major issue that is found in the home. From poor foundations to leaking roofs and anything in between; they cover it all. They bring in all the right experts to verify their findings and, if necessary, make the repairs that are beyond the teams expertise.
They have had shows that focused on the same issues that Ive found during an inspection. One of my clients said he saw an episode about the same problem I discovered in his house. This show is helping to educate the typical homeowner and give them the information needed to ask the right questions when their home is being inspected.
